About Us

After studying Gunsmithing at Montgomery Community College from 2011 to 2013 and receiving my degree, I went on to be a gunsmith for Hyatt’s Gun Shop in Charlotte for 2 years. In that time I was focused largely on Cerakote application and stippling. In 2015 I was offered a position as a gunsmith with Warsport Industries where I oversaw the production, repairs and new product development within the weapons division of the company. In 2017 I took a position as a Tech for Remington in Madison, NC and worked there until I became an instructor at my alma mater of MCC. I am still currently a full-time faculty there in the Gunsmithing program, but have the opportunity to continue doing some work myself. All the while that I’ve been gaining experience within the firearms industry, I have been applying those contacts and the knowledge to my own business, Red Tail Gun Works LLC. Since obtaining an FFL in 2016, I have offered nearly any type of gunsmithing service; from custom rifle and 1911 builds, to Cerakote, stippling, custom holster making, and any form of repair work. I look forward to helping you with your project or repair needs.
